The most-chosen Chronicle

Memoir£99

Voice sessions. Colour photos. A casebound hardback.

Memoir is the volume tier and the most popular choice. Voice-recorded sessions produce richer material than typed answers – the tangents, the half-remembered details, the laughter that turns into a story.

Photos appear in full colour throughout the book – the family faces in colour, the actual kitchen in the actual light of 1978. A casebound hardback on 130gsm paper. Solidly bound, properly bound, designed to sit on a shelf upright for decades.

A warm amber casebound hardback memoir titled "My Life Chronicle" in forest-green serif type on the cover, photographed at a soft angle on a linen-covered desk with a cup of tea, an open notebook and folded reading glasses nearby

Why Memoir.

  • Voice sessions – speak the story rather than type it. Chronicle transcribes and shapes; every word stays theirs.
  • Full-colour photos – every image as taken, on the page where it belongs in the chapter.
  • A casebound hardback – the kind of book you'd find in a bookshop. Properly bound to last decades.

“The same thirteen chapters. The same guided process. The full-colour, voice-rich edition.”

Questions on Memoir.

How do voice sessions work?

Instead of typing answers, the storyteller speaks them aloud. Chronicle records the session and transcribes it. The chapter draft uses their actual phrasing – the laughs, the pauses, the way they actually told it. Speaking produces a more natural, less self-edited story.

Will the printed photos look like the originals?

Yes. Memoir is full colour on 130gsm paper. Photos appear as taken, with the warmth and contrast of the original. We do not strip colour or convert to monochrome.

What is the difference from Heirloom?

Memoir is a casebound hardback; Heirloom is Smyth Sewn. Memoir is on 130gsm; Heirloom is on 150gsm. Memoir ships one copy; Heirloom ships two. Heirloom adds a custom-designed interior and includes foil-stamping on the cover.

Can I add a cover foil to Memoir?

Yes – cover foiling is available on Memoir as a £15 add-on at the order stage. Heirloom includes foil as standard.
